Employees are key stakeholders of a business, as their performance can dictate whether or not the company survives. Not only must businesses make sure that their staff are happy, but they must also keep employees aware of what is happening within the company, so as to give them a sense of “ownership” and company loyalty. Employees have an interest in the company doing well – if it does badly they are more likely to lose their jobs and less likely to get good pay rises.
